Need a new word - realtruism or altruism with a return.

This is a summary of a thesis which looks at political activists in a scale that ranges from 100% self-interest to 100% altruism based on interviews and surveys of NGO executives more than a decade ago. There is no indication the interviewees are representative of all NGOs, and the analytical framework may or may not be statistically sound.
The takeaway is the confirmation that there is never any true altruism which is defined as completely selfless, without any self-interest. In the broader context, political activism serves a greater good, but not selfless.
There should be a new word: Realtruism which defines altruism with a form of return.
